| Taking a soil sample is an essential step in determining the overall needs of your food plot. Acidic soils can sometimes restrict the nutrient availability to your food plot. Gain provides a soluble source of calcium. Calcium is an essential element normally supplied with applications of limestone. Depending on fineness of grind, lime breaks down and releases calcium while neutralizing acid. This process normally takes up to one year! Gain supplies available calcium for an immediate response. This product is intended as a supplement to sound soil management practices and a regular fertilization program and may not, by itself, provide all the nutrients normally required by crops or other intended plants. |

Apply to the soil before planting and reapply once each growing season. Gain can be applied to the soil, roots and even leaves of your food plot. Apply once per growing season.

Soil Application:
Use hand held, ATV or tractor mounted sprayer
Spray soil before planting to release the beneficial nutrients in your soil. Follow these application rates and dilution rate suggestions:
a. For soil pH above 5.5 - Mix 1 gallon of Gain with 2 or more gallons of water and apply on up to 1/2 acre (21,780 square feet)
b. For soil pH below 5.5 - Mix 1 gallon of Gain with 2 or more gallons of water and apply on up to 1/4 acre (10,890 square feet)
Established Food Plot Application:
Use hand held, ATV or tractor mounted sprayer - Mix 1 gallon of Gain with 8 gallons of water and apply to 1/2 acre (21,780 square feet). Spray directly onto growing plants and the soil around plants to correct the problems created by low calcium typical of low pH soil and promote better fertilizer balance within the plot. When spraying directly onto plant foliage, apply during the early morning or evening when dew is on plants. Do not apply to plant foliage when temperatures are above 85 degrees F. |
